Have you ever found yourself thinking.….

"I could never have photos taken of my dog—it’s too wild, too unpredictable and needs to be kept on a lead" or

"I’d love to have some beautiful photos, but life is so busy, I just can’t seem to find the time" or

"I have countless pictures on my phone, but I long for something more... a special piece of art that captures the unique essence of my pet, something I can proudly display in my home" or

"I can’t help but worry that my precious pet won’t be with me forever, and I want something lasting, something to hold on to when the time comes?"

If any of these feelings resonate with you, rest assured that you are not alone. Many of the portraits in my portfolio were inspired by similar emotions and experiences. No matter your motivation, I am here to help you bring your vision to life.

We really enjoyed the experience of taking the photos, and our dog enjoyed it too.

She did not pressurise us at any stage of the process and we have the most beautiful pictures of our precious pet.

Would highly recommend.”

Discover A little About Jo’s Style of Work

  • fine art

Jo’s loves this style of photography and retouching work. It’s all about artistic vision—transforming what she sees and imagines into breathtaking wall art.

When Jo retouches in this style, her portraits take on an ethereal quality - occasionally with a touch of fantasy - always unmistakably artistic.

  • lifestyle

Jo also loves to retouch her portraits in this style. It is typically lighter, brighter, and more naturally retouched than Fine Art work.

This timeless approach embraces authentic moments, allowing real-life scenes to unfold effortlessly while capturing the true essence of her subject.

This is what Charlotte had to say about her photography experience:

I found Jo at an RSPCA day. Before I'd even booked in to the event I just had to find out more about these incredible animal portraits! They took my breath away!

Jo came out for an introduction to meet my animals and get them used to her and to run through the options. I chose the package I wanted and couldn't wait to see the results! I wanted an Autumn theme, in a spot which was sentimental to my dogs.

When Jo came to take the pictures it was actually more straight forward then I was thinking! My cat LOVED being the star attention and Jo was very patient whilst I gathered everyone into the right places and followed Jo's directions! (Couldn't believe it when she was laying on the wet floor!).

Jo went off and worked her magic on the photos and booked another appointment to come out and show me... Oh my goodness it was so emotional! The pictures were more than I could have ever wished for.

To capture my two old dogs was the best thing I could have done. The way both of them are sat together in the place they love is everything! I had tears.

For anyone wishing to capture their babies I would 100% recommend Jo. She's kind, honest and patient and a true artist. I will treasure these photographs forever. Thanks Jo!

what OTHER people are saying

Jo was so professional and brilliant with our 9 month old puppy.

We had a wonderful experience, Babs was a star and we are so delighted with our very professional photos.

I'm sure we will do it again as she grows and maybe with our daughters dogs!!

That will be a challenge as there will be 5 of them.

I know Jo will get the best out of them though!!

Thank you so much Jo

Jo was very professional from the moment we started the journey of getting our rescue dog Tango photographed. Jo chose a great location and was so friendly and patient with our boy he was totally at ease with her.

Jo took every stage of the photo shoot at Tango’s pace which had a calming effect on my husband and I.

The photos she took were fantastic and very cheeky! I would recommend Jo 100% for anyone wanting a great photograph of their pet.

Thank you Jo!

-AMANDA & TANGO

We had a wonderful experience with Joanna. Our dog loved her immediately, and she was mindful of not invading his space. This made our dog relaxed and happy during the photos, resulting in natural-looking, rather than staged, images.

We had great communication before, during, and after the shoot, and felt everything was professional and friendly.

The photos are incredible and truly captured our dog's nature; they look like they were plucked from a fairytale movie!
