24 Dogs, 24 Days: My two Charity Calendar Challenge!

In October, I set out on a mission to make a difference. The goal—to support the RSPCA Mount Noddy through my passion for dog photography by creating a calendar featuring local dogs to raise vital funds for this deserving charity.

I extended an invitation to dog owners, offering free professional photo sessions and the opportunity for their beloved companions to become calendar stars! The response was overwhelming—so many passionate applicants answered the call, each eager to contribute to this meaningful cause.

Faced with such tremendous community spirit, I couldn't bear to turn anyone away. Instead of limiting the project, I expanded it: doubling the photography sessions and creating not one, but two calendars. The second for Cancer Research.

What began as a daunting challenge to capture 24 dogs in 24 days evolved into something far greater than I'd ever imagined. Every day, each careful photograph, each moment of doubt that I would succeed—all were stepping stones on this remarkable journey.

After capturing all the photographs, I devoted countless hours to the meticulous retouching process, enhancing each image to professional quality before carefully curating them into two stunning calendars that would touch hearts and encouarge donations for our worthy causes.

When I finally held those two calendars in my hands—my heart swelled with pride. The weight of those glossy pages represented not just beautiful images, but the culmination of countless hours, unwavering determination, and a community that rallied behind a shared vision.

I reached out to every volunteer who had given their precious time to this project, asking them to become ambassadors for our cause and sell as many calendars as they could to their friends and family. I never anticipated the tidal wave of support that would follow.

When I counted the responses, I was overwhelmed with emotion. Collectively, as a community, we had sold over 100 calendars, raising nearly £1,500 for these deserving charities.

The day I delivered those cheques remains etched in my memory forever. Walking through the doors, feeling the weight of our community's generosity in my hands, I witnessed the genuine surprise and gratitude wash over the faces of the charity representatives. They were truly moved by what we had accomplished together.

These weren't just donations—they were love made tangible, compassion transformed into action, and proof that when ordinary people unite for an extraordinary purpose, magic happens!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who dedicated their time and effort to raising an incredible amount for such worthy causes.I couldn’t have done this without you!
