Buntzi Knight - Dog Photography in West Sussex
Client of the Month
I first met Howard when he spotted one of my framed portraits on display. He asked if I could photograph his dog, Buntzi, and when I visited Howard’s home, I instantly fell in love with Buntzi. He may be a rescue, but it’s clear he has an amazing life with Howard—he’s such a gentle, happy soul.
For the photoshoot, we chose one of my favorite spots—Blakehurst Woods, just outside Arundel in West Sussex. It’s a beautiful woodland with many trails, perfect for capturing special moments.
Buntzi was a real character! We had planned his session for just after a groom so he’d look extra dapper—but that didn’t quite go to plan! I managed to capture a few shots before he took an intentional nose dive straight into a muddy puddle! Howard and I laughed so hard!
After the session, I put together all the images and returned to show Howard his final portraits. Interestingly, the one he chose as his favourite wasn’t the perfectly groomed shot, but the one that truly captured Buntzi’s spirit—harness on, muddy, scruffy, and joyfully bounding through the grass. I remember him saying, “That’s the one—that’s Buntzi!”
Howard was delighted with his wall art when I hand-delivered it to him at home. Here’s what he said:
“Jo is absolutely amazing! She is patient, kind and wants your session to go the way you want it to.
The photograph’s she took of my dog have far exceeded my expectations and the one I selected is now proudly hanging on the wall in my lounge.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her if you are looking to capture that special photograph of a family pet.”
